A culinary tour of Belgrade Join us for a tour with wonderful flavours immersed in stories and local people! The tour is planned out for a wonderful day! We will visit food stands, bakeries and local markets. We will taste the local produce, talk about the eating culture that breaks many myths and more… Come hungry! Serbian food The Serbs have a quality kitchen, and even the most basic food stand will be delicious. Over the years, Serbia has been conquered numerous times by the Austrians, Turks, Hungarians, Bulgarians, and more. Each country influenced the local cuisine and left behind its authentic dishes. In the last twenty years, along with globalisation, Serbia has also opened up to Western flavours and ways of serving that create a unique combination. All of these have made Serbian cuisine a wonderful culinary celebration. So what do we taste on tour? Serbian-style pastries cured meats Čvarci (pork rind) sausages village cheeses honey products Rakia - fruit spirits goulash with a twist truffle spreads seasonal fruit Fish dishes Sweets And all sorts of delicious surprises Beyond the trip, you will receive a list of restaurants that will enhance your culinary experience.

If you want to see some great examples of Yugoslav design, be it architecture, industrial or graphic design, discover hidden flea markets or take amazing photographs of this weirdly interesting city, join me and create your very own Belgrade experience. We start in the city center, from a location that is often overlooked but as Belgrade in general, hides so much history. If you shoot on film, we will go to a local photo store to get a roll of film for you. Visiting my favorite flea market, walking distance from the starting point, where you can find really anything - a film camera, stamps, postcards, vintage clothes, pins, toys, plates from the 50s, you name it. Going back to the beginning of the 20th century, we get to see the first graffiti ever painted in Belgrade and then fast forward to one of the most amazing logos created in the mid-80s. On the way, we get to see some hidden murals and one amazing rooftop view of Belgrade. To end the tour, you get to choose and visit either an amazing coffee shop with a bunch of plants and cute wall art or a traditional cake shop with superb sweets and interior that has not changed in more than a few decades. Or both if you feel like it! Other things to note If there are any dietary needs that need to be addressed, not to worry - we can go to a place that sells sugarfree cakes and I can show you places where you can eat if you are a vegetarian/vegan. If you do not feel comfortable walking a lot - we can get public transport for some parts of the tour.

Our small group will depart from Belgrade and head straight to the Cleopatra fountain, this water is believed to be better than all medicines. Than we will get ready for horseback ride in a perfect natural settings of Sumadija landscapes. After saddeling the horses follows test ride in fenced round pen which lasts 45 min, so you will see if your skills are enough good for the horse you want to ride. After selecting we go out on field where we will be able to see cherry tree plants, blackberry, raspberry. The terrain offers walking, trotting and galloping possibility. You will choose the mode. The ride lasts about 1h. Next stop will be rural estate of my grandfather where you will have lunch and taste Serbian brandy Rakia. Than we will get ready for walk along the forest path to the Monastery Tresije, ossuary from WWI and climb on observation tower, beautiful vista point from where you can see Belgrade. The length of trail is 7 km, the total ascent is about 400 m, the duration of hiking is about 2h. One of the stops can be also night hiking to the monastery Kasteljan and exploring locations where were located Roman mines from 1st century of the new era. Before we start, the instructor will introduce you to the basics of rowing and kayaking – prior knowledge isn’t needed. For this adventure it is necessary to dress sportily according to the weather conditions. This is a water sport, and we often get wet, so spare wardrobe is desirable. – Our kayaks are stable, sit in kayaks (You can choose between kayaks with one or two seats)

Starting point: Nikola Pasic square - One of the most beautiful squares in the city center bears the name of a man who shaped the course of the 20th-century history of the entire region. Fashion & Design district - Once a first shopping mall, opened in 1990, nowadays the place is becoming a melting pot of art galleries and new hip design shops. Car Museum - Car Museum: It may be one of the smallest museum but the exhibition is breathtaking and the wow effect is on every corner. Cetinjska street - Over 20 clubs, bars, and coffee shops all in one district that once was a Belgrade Beer industry. Museum of Science and Technology - Retro and classy, you will wish to have some of these exhibits at home. One of the most underrated museums in Belgrade. Dorcol neighborhood - Named after a Turkish word for a "crossroad of 4 roads", Dorćol has always been a center of various happenings. Buzzing neighborhood filled with craftsmen, restaurants, bars, now known as Student square - Built within an academic neighborhood of Belgrade, this park is loved by students who pass time between lectures here, enjoying the greenery of the very city center. Kosancic circle - An area that acts as a time machine, this was what Belgrade looked like 150 years ago. Cobblestone street, romantic streetlights, and old oak trees give this district a special fee

Join me for a unique experience where you will see the most and the best of Belgrade. We”ll ride through Belgrade - The Eternal City: A Sentimental Journey Through History. Exploring typical districts, famous attractions but also seeking for hidden treasures. The things we will do / see This ride has 10 stops, is 180 minutes long and will give you a chance to dive into rich history, deep-rooted tradition and heritage that Belgrade offers. There are plenty of stops for photos! Other things to note Due to the inclement weather and unsafe road conditions, the ride and tour will be delayed.

The plan is to start from our club , where you will get the needed equipment (safety vests, paddle and kayak). Before we start, the instructor will introduce you to the basics of rowing and kayaking – prior knowledge isn’t needed. We will be rowing to the beach Lido (located on the northern part of the island), and if the weather is adequate, we can have a swim in the river. Further we’ll continue along the coast and make a circle around the Great War Island and return to the starting point. This adventure lasts 2 hours, but if you want it can take longer.

START (10 minutes): For standard Belgrade quest will meet in front of st. Mark's church. You'll hear all about quest rules and get your quest pack with map of the city. If the group is bigger all participants are split into teams and each team gets quest pack. BELGRADE QUEST IS ON (90 minutes): Quest is your guide, task by task you learn more about Belgrade while having fun. Your team collects points by solving riddles, discovering fun facts, completing challenges and interacting with locals. FINISH (15 minutes): Meeting in Studentski park, counting points, giving you prizes and proclaiming the winning team (if more than one team took participation). Belgrade quest can be tailored according to your needs, it can last longer/shorter. Also the area of the city can be smaller or bigger. We can make the quest harder or easier if your goal is just to have different walk through the city. Other things to note Belgrade quest should be done during daytime. You choose the start time for your quest.

On our adventure road, we will visit Monastery Ravanica, the legacy of famous Duke Lazar Hrebeljanovic and continue to Monastery Manasija - the epoch of Stefan Lazarevic, outstanding Serbian ruler. Step in the Stronghold of Manasija Monastery surrounded by powerful fortification with 11 towers and feel the atmosphere of medieval Europe. After we will continue to the 80 million years old Resava cave. Peek at this silent maze and admire decorative art created by nature. Let the splash of Lisine waterfall and clear blue water of Krupaja spring wake you up after darkness of the cave. Let us enjoy and relax wonderful nature and forget about the stress of city life.
