奥斯陆海滨现代奢华!
Welcome to the fantastic Tjuvholmen! Nowere in Oslo will you find so many trendy restaurants, bars, cafees, indoor or outdoor, so many galleries, art, and boutiques. Combine that with long seafront walks, canals, boats, walking distances to everything else the capitol has to offer and even a lovely little beach, well then you have the undisputed prime location in Oslo. Ok, don't take my word for it, I am biased. After all, I bought the place...:-)
But, here is what New York Times just said. They recently came out with a list of places worth visiting around the world in 2013, and this is what they wrote:
"With all the attention recently showered on its fellow Nordic capitals, it’s been easy to overlook Oslo. But no longer. In an effort to embrace the city’s proximity to the sea, the Fjord City development project is rejuvenating the city’s waterfront, most recently (and impressively) on Tjuvholmen, or Thief Island. This is where the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art reopened in September in a spectacular new Renzo Piano-designed structure featuring sloping, sail-shaped glass roofs that nearly dip into the water. Next door, the cutting-edge facade and art-strewn interiors of THE THIEF, Oslo's new Design Hotel, should fit right in with the arty neighbourhood. Tjuvholmen is now also home to a pack of top-notch galleries and a new sculpture park with works from Anish Kapoor and Ellsworth Kelly. Elsewhere in the city, the restaurant Maaemo caught the food world’s attention when, barely a year after opening, it earned two Michelin stars. More proof that Oslo is ready to shine." — Ingrid K. Williams
Now I am putting my wonderful, brand new apartment out on Airbnb, so that YOU can experience the very best Oslo has to offer. The apartment is located in the same building (next door) to Oslo's newest and most upmarket (and of course the most expensive) boutique & art hotel, THE THIEF. However, at my place you will have more space, a full ultra-modern kitchen, a lovely balcony overlooking the canal and Oslo, access to the sunny roof terrace, two mountain bikes in the basement bicycle-room, free wireless high speed internet, and a MUCH bigger refrigerator if you what to chill that white wine..:-) And yes, it's less than 1/3 of the price of a standard room at THE THIEF.
Tjuvholmen, meaning "thief's island", is the ultimate trendy and exclusive new area in Oslo, with pulsating city space, alleys, walking bridges over the canals, and with extensive seafront promenades. Meters away from the apartment you will find several of Oslo's best restaurants, bars, cafes, cinemas and of course, Oslo's best shopping. Public transportation is close by, either you prefer bus, tram or the small ferries. 150 meters away, you will find the world famous Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, AFMoMA.
The apartment itself is new and exclusive, with a lovely balcony hanging directly over the canal, six stories down. Everything is of high standard, from the Italian tiles in the bathroom to the walnut floor in the rest of the apartment. There is a wonderful Jensen King size bed (180 cm) in the bedroom, and I have an extra mattress just in case...
There is an awsome 70 mbit/s wireless internet connection in the apartment, a BOSE iPhone dock (or you can use a simple cable from your headphone plug to connect with the BOSE from another telephone or PC), there is a 40" LED TV set connected to cable TV from GET and Mac TV, and I also have an internet radio, so you can listen to your own favorite local radio station while in Oslo.
Two mountain bikes is located in the basement bicycle room, free for you to use. Take the bikes along the bicycle path to fantastic Bygdoy, to see the old Polar ships of the Norwegian explorers, or the magnificent Viking ships at the Viking Museum. Or, even better, have a picnic by the sea! I will tell you were to go...:-)
