【亞瑪雙人房】Yama Double Room
Pulamayama is a newly built (August 2012) homestay located in the center of Huanlien City, 15 minutes drive from the Hualien Train Station.
Originally a private mansion, we've transformed it into a romantic and relaxing homestay with 9 boutique rooms. The landlady is an avid lover and teacher of yoga, and so we've given our homestay an Indian name ("Yama" are behavior patterns or relationships, between the individual and the outside world).
The moment you step into Pulamayama, you'll be greeted by the beautiful mosaics, along with the greenery on the wood terrace. The interior is designed with an exotic middle eastern touch, with colourful walls of saturated orange, green, and yellow, big tile floorings, beautifully crafted wooden furnitures, as well as some delicate chandelier lights.
The reception, living room, and the owners' room is located on the first floor, while the guest rooms are on the second, third, and fourth floor. Amenities complimentary with your stay include Breakfast at "Country Mother's", LED TV, toiletries, hairdryer, and WiFi.
Located on a strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and the Central Mountain Range, Hualien is considered one of the most pleasant cities in Taiwan. Many tourists visit the city to enjoy the scenery and fresh air and also to tour the famous Taroko Gorge, which is located a few miles north of the city.
There are frequent trains from Taipei, and depending on the type of train, the journey can take from two to four and a half hours. Express trains (Taroko Express) take 2 hours and cost 440NTD. The train follows the coast for part of the journey, and the left side of the train offers the best views.
