We'll shop for fabrics in the Brixton Village and Market Row shops. This area has been revitalized and has come to be a cultural highlight of South London. We will visit 2/3 of my favourite fabric shops, selling fabrics ranging from African prints to the finest silks. Then we'll head back to my studio, where you'll learn to cut your own pattern on African print fabric. I'll teach you how to make and sew together your new drawstring pants over some coffee, tea, and refreshments. Afterwards, you'll take home a customized pair of pants. We'll meet at our farm for an initial introduction. Next we'll walk the grounds and explain the relationship between nature and bees, underlining their importance to the eco system. Then, we'll take you through the equipment needed to practise bee keeping, the main events in the beekeeping year, how we manage the swarming season and extract the golden honey. We'll visit one or two of our apiary sites in the locality, and if weather permits we may open a hive to let you see what the inside of a bee colony looks like. Afterwards, we'll return to the farm and try some honey tasting to help you understand the different types of honey available. A relaxing experience enjoying nature and gaining an appreciation of these beautiful, selfless animals. Other things to note Decent footwear is key if we are walking - but it should not be too demanding.

Star the pony and I will meet you at our meeting point where we will carry out introductions and cover safety tips, before we head off for the walk. We will walk up the lane and through the fields, going at the ponies pace and allowing them to browse on the plants in the hedgerows. We’ll also collect cuttings and weeds to take back with us for their pony friends (in season only). You will learn about wild plants and trees and how they benefit the ponies diet, plus more about pony care and behaviour. We will finish the walk back at the pony field where you will brush their coats and manes and tails, while the ponies tuck into their lunch. You can meet their next door neighbours the donkeys and the other animals at the field too. You will really get to know the ponies as individuals and see their different characters and personalities. With a calm and gentle approach, it won’t take long before they are queuing up for a scratch from you. Other things to note This is a leisurely walk that is perfect for animal lovers. Firstly the students choose a painting from my collection (everyone paints the same ) After my initial introduction, we have a practice on an old canvas, when I show you how to use the brushes to create the painting, to get familiar with the materials. We then change to a brand new canvas (20 x 16 inches) and I teach you slowly starting with the sky, and layer by layer to build up the painting till it is finished. I will give everyone all the time needed to produce a painting that will astound yourself and your friends. I can teach anyone to paint. Even if you've only ever painted doors and skirting boards before. The Bob Ross method of painting is simple to understand and the first time you do it, you can get a fantastic result. I supply all the materials needed including plastic aprons, tea and coffees and gentle music! It's a very relaxed atmosphere of having fun while learning to paint. Included in this event is a welcome glass of wine/beer and a cheese board to share. We'll provide you with lightweight comfortable, multi geared bikes for this circular bike tour of the largest Royal Park of London Richmond Park. You will pass some Ted Lasso sights (it was filmed here!) , cycle across The Green and through the site of the old Richmond Palace where now just the entrance gate and 16th Century wardrobes remain. Then we cycle along the beautiful River Thames + after a steep walk pushing bikes uphill (+ up some steps) see a protected view overlooking the River Thames, it is more than worth this energetic start to the day! A short ride along the road you are in the old royal hunting ground, you'll see a protected view of St Paul's Cathedral via telescope + enjoy the easy cycle around this wonderful park passing the royal hunting lodge and seeing deer roam freely. Bring a sandwich or buy a snack enroute to enjoy in this park where you feel like you are in the countryside. A local pub stop if you wish before returning to Richmond Train Station along the beautiful riverside route. This is a truly memorable trip whilst visiting London. This is a day out of busy Central London, just a short train ride to Richmond in Zone 4 of South West London, here you can enjoy this hidden gem with the locals. Wear outdoor clothing, bring waterproofs, avoid flappy, light coloured trousers, paths can be muddy, a back pack for your layers and waterproofs.

This is a hands on, active experience focused on caring for and connecting with the horses using natural horsemanship techniques. On arriving, I will introduce you to the therapy horses, Fred and Bella. Fred is a miniature horse so only 7 hands (28 inches) and Bella is 15 hands. We will discuss safety and natural horsemanship methods, prior to grooming the horses. You will learn how to look after their manes, tails and hooves. We will then take Fred for a walk through the field, before completing a natural horsemanship exercise. We play with giant balls etc .have an Easter egg Hunt. Finally, we will reward Fred with a tasty treat (he also loves cuddles!). Grooming and walking our miniature in the paddocks are both relaxing and fun - suiting young and old alike. All trips are bespoke, if you wish for something slightly different please just ask. For those who are more confident around horses we can offer teaching using liberty training techniques join up and lunging (where the horse walks trots and canters to command no ropes in our round pen. Our training methods are all about communication with the horses a relationship and mutual respect between between horse and human. Our horses work with disabled children. I offer fermentation workshops in Penge / Crystal Palace South London. No experience is required and it's a great way to get messy and create some delicious food such as Korean kimchi or hot sauce. I offer fun, friendly and informal workshops that present the science of fermentation in an accessible way and demystifies the process.
